This has got to be one of the best Chinese cafe's in Cambridge. I would even say it rivals some of the Chinese food in London. With it's amazing value, outstanding flavour, friendly staff, and great portion sizes, this place has it all! I went here with my boyfriend and his parents, and we ordered 2x portions of the fried pork and chive dumplings, 1x portion of the pork and kimchi dumplings, 1x portion of the prawn and chive dumplings, and 1x order of Hong Kong style wonton soup and all of it came to only £42. You get 15 dumplings per portion which is just incredible. If you live in Cambridge or come to visit you should definitely check this place out.

Came here twice for the wontons. The pork wonton in chili oil and normal broth are so, so good. Very flavorful and mildly sweet from the pork fat. The pork and chive dumplings were good, but noticeably less than the wontons. The skin was not "QQ" or chewy enough, and the filling was just average.
Cash only. I would frequent this place if I lived here. -

CASH ONLY!!! Remember to bring cash to pay! There is a parking garage close by (we paid 3.50 pounds for staying close to 2 hours). Visited this place in Cambridge while visiting my husband at the RAF Base. A good 30 minute drive from RAF Mildenhall. Service was great and fast, we got seated right away and came on a Tuesday for lunch at noon. Food was good. We were craving dumplings. We ordered the lamb and carrot dumpling (it came with 15 portion for 1 order on a plate). It was moist and not dry. Probably not the best we've had but still good. My favorite was the dessert: black sesame rice balls dipped in semi-skim milk. We didn't really care much for the skim milk that it came dipped in but it was the black sesame filling that I loved. It came close to the authentic black sesame desserts I've tasted during my trip to Japan so it brought a lot of good memories. I took pictures of the menu and attached our receipt so it could help someone since they do take orders for take out/to go. Our meal for 2 people receipt is also attached: total: 23.10 pounds (7 = lamb and carrot dumpling, 3.50 = black sesame ball dipped in semi-skim milk, 7.80= Ma-Po tofu with rice meal, 2.40 =soy milk, 2.40 =milk tea)

I really want to give this place 4.5 stars as it wasn't perfect but the did serve up some solid dumplings and good Chinese dinner food. I have found it difficult to find any place that serves Canto dinner food in the first place so finding a good place in the UK is a gem. Had the pork and chive dumpling as well as the lamb and coriander. Both had well seasoned and flavorful meat but the skins were a little thick. They are house made and For the UK, these as probably tops. Also had three beef stew with rice which is my measuring stick for Canto dinner food. The meat was very tender and lean so really good on that front. The sauce was a bit too thick and too sweet but the dish was good. I will be coming back here next time I am in town.

Ordered delivery from this place the other night and it was quite good. We had the wonton soup (delicious wontons and soup but very salty), fried pork dumplings (yum), spicy prawns with rice (flavorful and spicy, but didn't enjoy the large pieces of ginger) and minced pork noodles (sweet and kid-friendly). Looking forward to trying some more dishes next time.
